Shadow War

Short film, re-enactmentPublication paused pending approval

From a surveillance shot to a cinematic scene

We paused publication voluntarilyWe have paused publishing the clip until we receive approval from the relevant authority, because in this kind of work credibility comes before reach. We only show stills here.
NoticeA dramatic re-enactment based on the announced official account and footage broadcast by Saudi news channels. The characters' features and names are entirely invented and do not represent real people.

This work started from a real clip: an overhead surveillance shot broadcast by Saudi news channels as part of the official account of the incident. Security officers by a patrol car in an open car park, waiting outside for the wanted man to arrive.

The camera kept what happened, but kept it distant, faded and without detail. We rebuilt the same scene in the language of cinema: the same angle, the same car park, the cars in their places, then the light, colour and detail the lens didn't catch.

We didn't add anything that didn't happen, and we didn't change the order of what did. What we tell is the steadiness of the security officers and their wait, not the crime.
