What stopped him wasn't skill or calculation, but the trunk of a tree growing out of the rock a few metres from the end.
Then the hours began. The teams arrive, read the mountain, secure the site, climb down to him, and bring him out alive.
A short film that rebuilds the operation from angles no camera was there to catch: from above, from below, and from where he lay. There is no single hero, but a system working calmly that knows exactly what it is doing.
